Afternoon Tea

Anna Russell, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, is said to have complained of “having that sinking feeling” during the late afternoon.

At the time it was usual for people to take only two main meals a day, breakfast and dinner.

Her solution was tea & sandwiches, and so the afternoon tea was born.

Monday - Friday 12pm - 3pm (In our Madhatters Tea Room)

Saturday and Sunday 12pm - 4pm (In Dunsley Hall Hotel)
